Anyone tried them? We were lucky to have them to eat in Jamiaca when our money ran out & we were very hungry. Just pulled then off the tree's & ate 'em - very nice.

I never had seen that kind of fruit, but they look delicious. How is it flavour? Is it sweet or bitter?

I know them as gineps and they're sweet but tangy at the same time.

Yes going from memory they felt like a firm lychee, quite refreshing. We got so hungry we tried to catch these big crabs that lived in holes in a mangrove area, didn't have any luck there sadly :? (tbh they were big, scary looking things , fast & with large nippers, so kinda glad they outfoxed us  )
