TRS Returns with another pearl from the Ja-Man camp, this time featuring Jah Children with their rendition of “If I Could”. Recorded and voiced in Jamaica 1978 and produced by Bunny & Manzie alongside the cream of the crop musicians at the time who made up the Ja-Man all-stars. This beautiful roots tune is a tribute to the 1970 version by Simon & Garfunkel's “El Cóndor Pasa (If I Could)” which was originally an orchestral musical piece written in 1913 and based on traditional Andean folk music from Peru. It has been estimated that around the world more than 4000 versions of the melody have been produced, along with 300 sets of lyrics, but none as hard hitting as this Jamaican roots version.
