The man playing the guitar (Edit) is Ras Elroy Bailey original BlackSlate.
Who recently passed away and like a lot of musicians who play reggae
never got his fair dues (for whatever reason)
He had it hard in the latter days of his life in the uk.
No promoter booked him so he had to go it alone playing small clubs and pubs to earn a living.

He did not leave enough money for his burial and their has been a go fund me page set up for him

LET'S SHOW THE FAMILY, HOW MUCH WE CARE!!
When a loved one passes away, it can seem impossible for the surviving family to cope with the grief, let alone the financial costs of final arrangements. This is more imperative for one of our beloved heroes within the music industry whose passing was sudden.

Ras Elroy of Black Slate international was born in Hackney, London UK to parents who came to London in the Wind Rush era and settled in London from St Vincent. W.I.

Ras Elroy Black Slate International, first performed in front of a live audience at the age of four years old. Ras Elroy’s father Eric Bailey was asked by the late great - George Brightly founder of Sir George sound system and Entrepreneur the first manager of Black Slate if the young Ras Elroy Bassy could join the (Young Ones from Zion) which later became Black Slate and the rest is music history.

Ras Elroy/Black Slate had become the choice band for backing and supporting the Leading Jamaican Reggae International artists who would had been touring the UK and Europe, also supporting artists such as Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff and Toots Maytals. More recently, Ras Elroy has worked with Jermaine Jackman winner of BBC UK Voice 2014.

He continued many international tours as a Bass player for a variety of bands. His personal legendary tracks are: Amigo and Sticks man.

He dedicated much of what he gained in terms of financial and material assets back into local communities, especially to the Youths. Being instrumental in the BRAFA (Black Reggae Artistes For Africa) fundraising initiative raising funds for the children of Africa, during the period of the Live Aid concerts. He produced a charity record which was recognised by HRH Princess Anne.

He will not only be remembered for his, humble, friendly and kind disposition, but moreover, for his contribution to all genres of music especially to the Reggae genre playing bass on tracks such as:

Jean Adeybambo's: Paradise
Carol Thompson's : Hopelessly in Love... and many more

Artistes Ras Elroy has worked with are as follows:
Sugar Minott, Carol Thompson, Dennis Brown,
Winston Reedy, Dennis Alcapone, Winston Francis
Errol Dunkley, Roy Shirley , Owen Gray & a great many
more...far too many to list

Funds are needed to cover funeral costs...
Your support is greatly needed!
This musical legend should and will never be forgotten!

Funds needed within the next 14 days at maximum
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE!

RIP Elroy.

On that video he is ' playing' ( they are all miming to pre recorded music ) the guitar. Someone else is on bass. I don't recognise him....but I see Vin Gordon, Tan Tan,Alan Weeks, Ken on drums, of course Jackie Mittoo too.
