Mikey Dread - Come to the Dub Party

Postby ice » Fri Apr 27, 2018 1:30 pm

'm trying to identify and compile the vocal releases to the five main dub albums published under Mikey Dread's own name. To avoid confusion and to enhance clarity, I decided to create four different topics. This one is for "Come to the Dub Party".

my own findings so far:

02 - Pave the Way
04 - (I'm pretty sure this from "Dread at the Controls")
05 - Roots and Culture

You're right about Track 4 ("Tourist Dub"). It's a dub of "King in the Ring" from Dread At The Controls. Mikey also has another dub version called "Industrial Spy" on the African Anthem album. I think the riddim is based on Jacob Miller's "Sinners." The Jacob Miller cut has a dub called "SMG Skank" on Fatman Riddim Section's Bald Head Justice album.

Track 10 ("Mother's Day Dub") is a dub of Mikey's "I Love My Mother," which you can find on his World Tour album.
