Ini Kamoze 10” or LP

Postby johnnyB » Sun Apr 22, 2018 9:14 pm

Undecided between the original 10” mini LP from 1984 and the 2015 repress 12” LP on Taxi. Which one sounds better?

Actually I don’t know why I’ve always thought the original press was on 10”. Am I wrong?

I've got the one on Island and its a normal LP - 12". It's called a mini album because its only got 6 tracks.

The Island one sounds great to me - never heard the Taxi one

Got both but I still prefer the original press from 84 despite the crackles and wear and tear.

Classic release, one of my most played records in the last year or so. Pure vibes from start to finish. Ini’s style was/is so original.

Although Ini Kamoze comes from the same part of JA as my family, I have to admit that I don't like his voice or many of his songs. Not my cup of tea.

One of my absolute favourite releases from the 80s, Sly & Robbie at their best
