Pablo would ask for Jammy's at Tubby's studio (when Tubby wasn't working), and he used to call Harry J's Sylvain Morris "Senior Scientist". I would be curious to actually hear these to see if they have Scientist's trademarks. My guess is that they are likely falsely labelled e-bay business.

very, very interesting finbar. i got just two dubs supposed to be pablo stuff mixed by scientist, even coming from two different soundmen.
first one, is a mix of 'no entry'. very, very similar to common tubbys mix. comes from a pc folder full of true scientist mixes. if you ask me,
it has nothing of usual scientist vibe. second one, is a mix of pablo playing melodica over barry brown 'politician' riddim. on the cd from
where it comes from, it's written in capital letters 'scientist mixes'. but again, it's not usual scientist way of mixing. so i'm now not sure,
but more than sure, that these mixes are from sylvan morris aka 'senior scientist' and not hopeton brown. you're top!

Scientist mixed some tracks on the Rising sun album according to the credits and some interviews with Pablo at the time (86). I remember buying as a new release and being surprised cause the mixes were so different to the Scientist dub albums mixed at Tubbys ( I didn't know much at the time! )
If there are any dubplates from those tracks they could well be Scientist mixes....but done at Tuff Gong or Channel One.
