Expensive yes but it's not the same as the CD. The double LP is showcase style with most of the tunes followed by dub versions.
I'm justifying it to myself by treating it like a dub LP, which tended to be limited releases and cost a pretty penny back in the day.

Whilst some dub lps back in the day may have been limited editions, I don't recall any being particularly expensive.

Looks like this would be the best thing to do but you would be missing the dub versions. Although you would have a real collectors item which you could not sell due to the copyright.

Also Unless it was re-mixed a bit you could not manufacture even a copy for yourself on vinyl directly from the CD due to copyrights etc.

Looks like nobody online is stocking or selling this double LP.

Where does this info come from? There's no numbering on the 2×LP and I must admit that I'm a bit surprised it hasn't sold out yet if there was only a run of that amount of records.

At £50 a copy? Not so surprising if you ask me.

I was looking for a good reference for you but the best I could find is http://www.savagejaw.co.uk/studio1/dub.html
"Originally released in startling silk-screen covers and selling at a higher price than normal LPs, these were some of the finest Dub albums to be released in Jamaica."

I wasn't there but my recollection of what I've heard and read is that dub LPS were originally priced at about 20USD in the mid 70's and purchased mostly by sounds. Would love a confirmation here or if someone can speak from personal experience.

I got my copy of the album last Saturday in London from Sis B, according to her the pressing was 500.

I received an email from Sis B on Friday informing me that my order would be shipped within 48 hours. Was hoping the postman might have it for me today, alas no sign of it yet. Has anybody received a copy via the post as the only people to have got a copy on here appear to have collected in person? The interest in this thread shows that there’s clearly a demand for it
